It’s been a while since I’ve been to Incheon Airport… I arrived around 4 PM for the evening flight!
I checked in and had a light meal in the lounge.
The flight is about 5 hours, so I had a beer to sleep well. Haha.
The lights were quite beautiful, but my camera couldn’t focus…
The stars were also clearly visible, which was lovely.

It was a tough flight due to delays 😭
I had to wait more than an hour longer than expected…
I arrived around 1 AM or 1:30 AM, but I had to wait again for people…
One downside of packages… waiting…
I took a bus from the airport to Grandis Hotel, which is about 15-20 minutes away.
I checked in almost at 3 AM 😂
I’ll be staying here for all three nights in Kota Kinabalu.
The room was quite spacious, which was nice.
I was so tired that I quickly checked the night view and went to bed…
I woke up early to have breakfast before the morning meeting.
However, there wasn’t much to eat… so I don’t have a plate photo, right?
I really missed the pho I had in Phu Quoc. 😭
We moved to the jetty for the first tour, the island hopping tour!
If you go behind the Hyatt Centric Hotel across from Grandis Hotel,
you can board a yacht at the jetty to travel together.
The palm trees and the view at the hotel were very beautiful.
It seems good for a cocktail at night with a lounge view. 🍸
You can see sea urchins with the naked eye. 😲
The water is super clear, so I was really looking forward to snorkeling!
Since I was in a messy state, I just pixelated the photo. 😂
I received the ticket and boarded the yacht!!
Haha, the yacht was surprisingly fast and cool, so I was really excited…
It felt like riding a amusement ride.
We arrived at Mamutik Island!
First, we went to our assigned seating and listened to the tour description.
We all had the basic snorkeling and could choose the paid water sports we wanted.
Including meal time, we had about 4 hours, and we decided to do parasailing!
They let us ride in pairs, and everyone had to take a ride to return. Haha.
But riding the boat was also fun, so waiting wasn’t boring.
It went much higher than I thought (even higher than the picture).
It was a bit scary but the cool wind and fun made me feel really good.
It was surprisingly fun, but I ran out of words to describe how wonderful it was. 😭
We kept falling into the sea, holding our noses. Haha.
The first time we fell, I screamed, and when my mouth opened, seawater rushed in.
After that, I covered all my openings. 🤣💥💥💥
Lunch was a local seafood BBQ buffet, but honestly, the taste… I thought I’d better eat something delicious for dinner.
After eating, we went snorkeling to digest!
And then I got bitten by a fish.
My mom got bitten and bled, but luckily I didn’t bleed…
As I walked, I suddenly felt a sting! “Ah! I got bitten too!!!!!!” 🤣
(By the way, beach towels can be rented for 2-3$ at the Grandis Hotel lobby)
We had a great time swimming and then returned…
Goodbye, Mamutik… 🤟
On the way back, without even washing up, we went straight to the mart. Haha.
Many people say they buy souvenirs here.
I bought mango jelly, coconut jelly, and kaya jam.
(And later came back to buy more. Haha.)
Suria Sabah is a large shopping mall attached to the same building as the Grandis Hotel?
It’s a shopping center, and after going back to the hotel to wash up, I was looking for a place to get a massage.
I found a massage shop by searching on Google Maps.
It was on the 3rd or 4th floor.
The massage was just okay, but as soon as the two massage therapists came in, they kept burping;
At first, it was unpleasant, but it turned into laughter during the massage time.
It was a challenge to hold in laughter each time they burped. 😂
After the massage, we were looking to have dinner, but it was too hot and tiring to go far, so we chose a restaurant in the shopping center.
But there wasn’t much food that looked appealing… so we went to a chicken rice shop, and I saw wonton noodles on the menu outside, so I thought, “Ah! Here!” and went in.
Since it’s an Islamic country, there seem to be many chicken restaurants?
However, many of the dishes I wanted to eat were unavailable, so I ordered a chicken noodle that looked similar.
My mom ordered a seemingly ordinary grilled chicken leg…
The taste was… just okay.
It wasn’t good enough to want to eat again, so we decided to just go to KFC tomorrow…
We went to the convenience store on the B1 floor to buy some quick snacks and beer, then headed back to the room, but upon entering, I was so tired that I fell asleep without even drinking.
