Following the beautiful back of my friend Ttu-hyung from Ansan People, I entered through the back door.

A famous Kalguksu restaurant in Jungang-dong, Ansan, Hongdukke Kalguksu!

They say this place is really well-known for its taste.

I was introduced to this famous restaurant about a year ago!!

There’s also a branch nearby, but this is the central location! Hehe.

When I visited during peak lunch hours, it was quite crowded.

Luckily, I was able to get the last available seat right away! 😋

Looking at the menu, I noticed that the representative dish, Shabu Kalguksu, can be ordered for one person.

However, note that barley rice is provided instead of fried rice!~

We ordered two servings of Clam Kalguksu without any hesitation. Haha.

After placing our order, we received barley rice along with the basic side dishes.

By mixing it with the gochujang provided on the table, it really made my appetite go wild.

Although the ingredients were simple, the flavor was truly outstanding.

Honestly, I could fill up just on that! Haha.

And the kimchi, well, it’s renowned for being delightful at a Kalguksu restaurant.

The Kalguksu here is served individually rather than in a large bowl, which I found impressive.

It’s more hygienic, and it’s convenient since you don’t need to scoop it with a ladle every time!

The portion size of the Kalguksu was so generous that it felt like it didn’t decrease no matter how much I ate.

The broth was not salty, and it was refreshing enough to drink straight from the bowl.

There were plenty of clams, and I ended up piling their shells high on my rice bowl! Haha.

Conveniently, there was a Tanghulu shop nearby to wrap up with a dessert!

Jungang Hongdukke Kalguksu was a place that satisfied in terms of taste, portion, and price.
