Memories from the Visit
I had some time to browse around during the break time and came back around 5:05, but there was a waiting line.
Dining Experience
I ordered stir-fried squid and kimchi stew (water was of course extra).
Even while eating, more customers kept coming; it was half Koreans and half foreigners.
Compared to other Korean restaurants, this one had quite a few foreign customers.
The stir-fried squid was really delicious.
It wasn’t too spicy, just the right amount… the taste was perfect for finishing a bowl of rice.
I didn’t feel like having Korean food that much, but it made me think, “Ah, this is it!”
The kimchi stew had very sour kimchi, which wasn’t my preference, but it had plenty of meat and kimchi, so that was good.
L’Osteria Salzburg
Dreifaltigkeitsgasse 10, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
Night Market Experience
I wanted to enjoy a beer at the night market, so I came to L’Osteria.
It got cold at night, so I went inside the restaurant, and I was surprised by how spacious it was inside.
But it was crowded and noisy; it was hard to have a conversation.
If you like quiet places, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Menu Selection
I ordered a Margherita pizza and a Cuba libre cocktail, plus another non-alcoholic drink that I can’t quite remember.
The pizza was huge, which surprised me.
I was full, but…
The cheese was too little, so it just tasted like tomato sauce on bread.
I regretted not just ordering drinks!
The size was large, so I felt bad for leaving it behind.
Of course, the cocktail was delicious.
Schirmbar Hallstatt (Umbrella Bar Hallstatt)
Seestraße 145, 4830 Hallstatt, Austria
Restaurant Introduction
This is the restaurant that made me decide to start writing restaurant reviews.
A lakeside restaurant in Hallstatt.
The staff recommended a fish dish priced at 23.9 euros, which had no photo on the menu.
They showed me a picture on their phone…
So I ordered the fish dish and a goulash.
This is water.
Menu Experience
Oh, but… the fish dish looked unappetizing no matter how I took a picture of it, haha.
And it didn’t come with fries, but with baby potatoes, which was slightly irritating.
I thought that even if the appearance was poor, as long as it tasted good, it should be fine! But when I took a bite, the smell of freshwater fish was overwhelming…
I’m usually sensitive to smells, so I have a hard time with freshwater fish, and the fish here had the strongest fishy smell ever.
It felt like I was eating a fish caught in the Hallstatt lake…
Lots of customers always seemed to be there, but if you’re planning to visit, please do not order that fish dish!
Rudolfsturm
Salzberg 1, 4830 Hallstatt, Austria
Viewpoint Introduction
A restaurant located at the Hallstatt salt mine viewpoint.
The viewpoint has an amazing view.
It’s a bit scary, though.
Drink Experience
This time, we also chose an outdoor table.
It felt like we came here just to see the view, right…?
It was so beautiful that we decided to just have drinks and leave.
Ofenfrische Schaumrollen
Seestraße 179, 4830 Hallstatt, Austria
Café Introduction
A small café selling coffee and bread from a street-side stall.
There is no seating.
As I passed by, I stopped in my tracks at the sight of a cream-filled pastry.
It was indeed extremely tasty!
It tasted even better probably because I had just eaten that awful fish.
Sweet and highly recommended as a snack!
Pizzeria Il Centro II
Linzer G. 23, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
Return Visit
Returned to Salzburg for dinner.
I really wanted to uplift my mood after lunch, so I searched a bit harder for a restaurant.
Menu Selection
Schnitzel is a staple everywhere…
Ordered chicken schnitzel and chicken salad…
I wanted to try turkey schnitzel, but it was sold out, so I ended up ordering both chicken.
Mood Lift
A beer can completely lift your spirits, right?
Satisfaction from the Meal
This was the best meal I’ve had among all the restaurants so far.
I usually ordered three dishes, but due to the large portion sizes typical in Europe, I often left food behind. This time, I ordered just right and finished everything!
Of course, it was delicious!
I really wanted fries, and I could have them here…
The chicken in the salad was tasty, too!
The sauce, lettuce, and salad were all great.
They provided ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and even bread.
The staff was very friendly!
This is the bread, which doesn’t have much flavor but is chewy and addictive…
I don’t know if it was just a complimentary item or if they always serve it!
Maybe they offered it because I praised the food so much?
It was quite an expense, but it was worth every penny!
