Western Mediterranean 9 Nights 11 Days Trip, Days 1-2
Days 1-2 were mostly just travel, so why do I have so many pictures?
This was my first packaged tour, so I was a bit nervous.
(Just to mention, the Lotte Tourism EasyIn guide was very kind and absolutely the best..!! Not a promotional message, lol)
We were supposed to gather at 10 AM, but I arrived about an hour earlier to go to the lounge.
I quickly checked in and got into the lounge.
I was going to the Gold Lounge on the other side, but they said it was only one card per person, so I just went to the KAL Lounge. What a shame!
(Me, very excited)
Since it was an awkward time, the menu changed during that time, so I got to eat two bowls of food.
But still, Shin Ramyeon is the best!
I also explored the duty-free shop before boarding!
Even with plenty of time, it felt like no time passed while looking around.
It was about a 12-hour flight, and I tried to sleep a little and came back, but I nearly fell asleep!
It was delayed by about 30 minutes, which was annoying.
Since it was lunchtime, I think about an hour after takeoff, the in-flight meal was served.
The Bibimbap was so delicious, lol.
I woke up after sleeping and they served snacks again.
This one was just average.
They fed us again…
Sitting around made it hard to digest, so at that time I ate just fruits and left most of it…
My stomach hurt so much! The one on the right is the bulgogi set my mom had.
((My expression changed from being tired from the flight))
My first time in Europe…
It still didn’t feel real; I was also tired and my stomach hurt, haha.
We took a tour bus from the airport to the hotel!
I think it took about 15 minutes.
It reminded me of Novotel Suwon, lol.
When we arrived, I saw Korean Air flight attendants there too.
It’s so close to the airport that they probably use it as their lodging.
There was a mart called Coop, which was open until late (for abroad), right next to the hotel, so I went to check it out.
But since it was the first day, I didn’t buy anything.
Just in case, I bought a mask and tried out the self-checkout, which was fun, haha.
I think we arrived around 9:30 PM.
While checking the room, I saw something next to the toilet: What is this..? A manual bidet… Cultural shock.
There was also a towel specifically for the bidet, which I didn’t touch, haha.
There was a swimming pool, but since we were just going to sleep, we only took pictures from the window.
Novotel breakfast!
Since what I had the previous day was not fully digested, I ate simple.
In the evening, I put on the receiver they gave us in advance and took the bus!
It was just a bit past 8 PM, and they said it would take about 3 hours to the Savona Terminal, so I tried to sleep, but since it was the first day (rather than a first day), they were explaining several things, so I couldn’t sleep and was very tired… I wanted to sleep, but I had to listen to the explanations…
But the guide was impressive for providing information continuously for almost 2 hours.
At the Rest Stop
A26, 15070 Belforte Monferrato AL, Italy
A rest stop for restroom time.
A strong smell hit my nose.
It wasn’t even this bad at the airport…
There was no toilet lid, which was surprising!
I really didn’t know Europe at all.
Arrived at Savona Terminal!
While checking in, I took a quick picture in front of the palm trees.
There was no one around, but once I tried to take a picture, people started coming, haha.
As soon as I boarded, I decided to eat before settling my luggage.
There was a reason I ate before check-in, but I don’t remember, haha.
The tomato pasta was so delicious!
The meat options were just okay, similar to those in Korean buffets, haha.
Having a room with a balcony was awesome.
(I later requested to separate the bed into two singles.)
The view was absolutely stunning, and at that moment, I finally felt I was on a European trip.
I didn’t realize at first, but I was assigned a really good room.
There was a swimming pool right on the same floor (though there were others on different floors).
It was super convenient because the elevator was right in front.
The sunlight was too strong, so I went to a nearby café.
But they also served beer, so I had a Heineken, haha.
(The only beer I recognized on the menu was Heineken…)
Sipping in the cool shade felt great.
As we set sail, there were people waving at us, haha.
After putting on our life jackets, we completed the safety drills!
Among the restaurants on the cruise, the one for dinner courses was reserved seating.
But our guide was great; we got the best window view!
(Thanks to this, we ended up dining at this restaurant for the entire 7 days of the cruise, haha.)
For each dinner, we had an appetizer, two mains, and a dessert.
We got to choose different menus every day.
(If we were still hungry, we could order more for free!!!)
We checked the menu in advance and picked our meals, avoiding gnocchi!
They were really good, but not that amazing. We left a lot of leftovers, haha.
(Later on, I got used to the flavors and finished everything.)
Day 2 was still quite ordinary with no major sightseeing.
