[Vietnam Phu Quoc] Record of Day 3 of the 5-Day Trip
First Day of Travel
Almost all the videos were shot using a wide-angle lens, which can be a bit dizzying ㅎ
Shot with Galaxy S21 Ultra
Starting the day with a delicious resort breakfast!
However, there was a problem with the daily tour scheduled for the third day.
The travel agency that was supposed to pick us up at 7:30 AM did not show up… ^^
After almost an hour of calls and messages… in the end, we couldn’t make the original tour because we were late.
(You guys didn’t come to pick us up ㅠ!!!)
They said they were sorry, and if we could go to their office, we could join a different tour. So I said okay.
Ugh… It was hard to plan something else for the day, but we decided to go for a different tour.
The frustrating part was that their office is further down than the Duong Dong Night Market.
The journey took almost 50 minutes ^^
I’m super annoyed, so I’m not recommending it, but just in case someone is curious, here’s the link…↓
Tour Information
JOHN’S TOURS Phu Quoc Tourism Company
John’s Tours was the first company in Phu Quoc to receive a government permit for domestic and international tourism.
They told us to arrive by 9 o’clock, and we barely made it…
Originally, we were supposed to do tour number 4, but it was changed to tour number 3. ㅠㅠ
I was really curious about the world’s longest cable car…
We had to change to snorkeling & island tour…
But when we arrived at the office, they told us that they were not doing tour number 4.
What the heck, you guys? ㅜㅜ!!!
The payment was originally to be made directly to the guide at the site, but when I checked while posting, it had changed to receiving a 50% deposit…
Why didn’t you say that from the beginning… ugh
Tour Schedule
Southern Three Islands Tour. This was the schedule.
First, we headed to the harbor to take the boat!
Vendors kept trying to talk to us about waterproof bags and hats.
I couldn’t understand, so I just said, ‘no, no’ and followed the guide ㅋ
John’s tour cruise… three boats set off together.
Goodbye, cable car in the distance…
Captain with a strong presence
Arriving at the island for snorkeling!
I took pictures with my waterproof bag, but the quality turned out like this ㅠㅠ
But it was also because the water was not clear…
I heard that snorkeling in Vietnam is not recommended because the water isn’t clear, and it was true…
(Boracay and Bohol are recommended…)
Anyway, both the first and second islands were pretty similar, so I don’t have many pictures left.
After an hour of playing in the water, we had lunch on the boat!
It poured heavily while we were moving, and I thought… is this okay…? But by the time we were eating, it had almost stopped, so that was a relief.
Lunch was served at tables, where we all gathered and ate together.
Coincidentally, 3 out of 4 pairs were Koreans!! (Including us)
So, we had a great time chatting and got a lot of tips ㅎ
The taste was… not great ㅎ
In order:
Stir-fried squid and vegetables
Rice (they gave us scorched rice later)
Radish soup
Grilled shrimp
Braised fish
Fried tofu
Stir-fried morning glory
Rolled eggs
I drank the radish soup in one go and almost vomited;;
For my taste… only the radish soup was not okay…
I heard the grilled shrimp had no taste at all, so I didn’t eat any of it. Haha
The watermelon for dessert was the best ㅎㅎ
The last island required us to transfer to a smaller boat and move a little…
Due to the strong waves, we were dropped off at the back of the island,
and if you cross through the forest for about 3 minutes, there is a beach.
They gave out green bracelets, which provide discounts on the sunbeds on the beach.
But after showering and taking some photos, we wouldn’t have time to use those sunbeds.
(By the way, the shower facilities are a bit lacking,
they’re not dirty, but they have a bit of a smell…
Usage fee is 20,000 VND per person!!
There’s an employee sitting at the entrance)
Hehe, photo showcase~
You can hear so much Korean while walking around ㅋㅋㅋ
I had coconut ice~
It tasted like water flavored with melons.
There’s also coconut flesh inside, but it’s tough and has no taste;;
Is it actually edible…?
Returning to the cruise ship~!
Why is the water clear on this side…?
If the snorkeling had this clarity, we could have seen well ㅜㅜ
Cattle on the way back..
So cute
After the tour ended, John’s Tours took us back to our accommodation,
and since our accommodation was the farthest, we were the last to get off.
Plan for the Last Day
Teddy Bear Museum near Whale Spa!
So cute ㅎㅎ
We’re planning to visit this on the last day.
And a revisit to Whale Spa ㅋ
On this day, the massaging lady with pink bridge hair was super comforting.
So I ended up getting another massage from her on the last day ㅎㅎ
(I didn’t specifically request this massage therapist, but she happened to be there!!)
(If you’re curious about Whale Spa, please check the record of the first day~ 😊)
After the massage, I was hungry, so I went to a pho place!!
I had been eating breakfast pho every day, so I thought I must try real local pho! and went into a place that looked good.
I ordered the beef-encrusted pho in the second place, and when they asked if I wanted to add coriander and onion-like vegetables, I asked them to exclude only the coriander, but I should have had them remove everything…
The scent was so strong from the vegetables next to me that I ended up leaving all the veggies ㅠㅠ
But I ate all the beef and noodles ㅎㅎ
The taste wasn’t significantly different from the breakfast pho!
I thought I’d better eat the breakfast pho again tomorrow~~~~ ㅎㅎ
Crazy night view ㄷㄷ
After eating quickly, we headed to the Venetian Show at Grand World!
The show runs from 21:30 to 22:00, and you need to watch from the bridge in the center to get the best view ㅎ
(This was a tip shared by a Korean friend during the tour 😆)
Even though we got there a bit early, there were already quite a few people gathered.
I was holding my phone up to take pictures, and I thought my arm would fall off ㅠㅠ
That’s how we wrapped up the Venetian show.
The day started off pretty frustrating, but it was fun,
really tiring but a fulfilling day!
