Austria Graz Restaurants and Cafes Nearby: 4 Honest Reviews

I’ll give you honest reviews of 4 restaurants and cafes I visited during my Austria Graz trip. If you want to have a delicious meal near Graz, check out this post!

1. Burger Factory

Feuerbachgasse 24, 8020 Graz, Austria

Burger Factory, a hamburger joint close to our accommodation, boasts an impressive rating of 4.7. The weather was nice, so we sat at an outdoor table.

First, two Cokes (Diet Coke for me!) arrived with lemon.

I had the beef patty with jalapeños, and my mom had the chicken patty with a bacon cheeseburger. They were both very delicious and lived up to the rating!

The hamburgers were so big we had to cut them to eat, and they did crumble a bit. I don’t remember the exact price, but I didn’t take photos of the whole menu or the receipt. Since both portions were generous, we didn’t order fries, but I highly recommend trying them if you visit. They looked really delicious at the next table. The prices were also quite reasonable compared to other restaurants, so I highly recommend it!

2. Restaurant SCHLOSSBERG

Am Schlossberg 7, 8010 Graz, Austria

This is a restaurant located at the top of Schlossberg. The view was so good that I barely took any pictures of the restaurant itself.

There were no prices listed, and I couldn’t see the menu, so I chose drinks that were readily available from the refrigerator. The prices were similar to regular beverage prices.

We ordered ginger ale and a drink similar to iced tea, which is a popular beverage. The ginger ale had real minced ginger in it, which was delicious. It got spicier as we drank it. We only had drinks, but they also sold dishes like schnitzel, and most of the customers were eating schnitzel. It seems to be a popular spot. I recommend visiting, especially for the amazing view and because it’s a bit of a climb to the summit!

3. Old Town of Graz – Korean Restaurant

We visited a budget-friendly and delicious Korean restaurant in the Old Town. The area is like a square with food stalls and convenience stores lined up.

Among the open stalls, we found one selling Korean food (not many were open as it was early). It didn’t look like authentic Korean food to a Korean eye, but we decided to have a meal there, trusting the reviews about its affordability.

This is caramel chicken, not Korean fried chicken. When I asked what Korean fried chicken was, they pointed to a dish that looked like a stewed chicken with a lot of sauce. You can choose rice or noodles after selecting side dishes, but we hesitated because we thought they only gave the main dish. Luckily, the owner gave us rice. It was good we got rice because the noodles looked a bit Southeast Asian, which isn’t my preference. The caramel chicken tasted like sweet and sour fried chicken. It wasn’t incredibly delicious, but it was edible, so if you want to save on food expenses, I highly recommend getting takeout from the Old Town!

4. MARTIN AUER Cafe

Stubenberggasse 10, 8010 Graz, Austria

This is Cafe Martin Auer located in the Old Town. The location wasn’t easy to find, so I’m only providing the address.

We went for an early lunch brunch, and it was already crowded. They had a good selection of breads and sandwiches.

The best part was the wide variety of iced coffee options! (Other cafes mostly had only one type of iced coffee with ice cream and cream.)

We ordered two pastries and two drinks. The staff was very friendly. I had trouble ordering because I didn’t know the names of the pastries and could only point, but with the staff’s help, we managed.

The pastries I chose had jam inside, which wasn’t my personal preference, but the bread itself was delicious, and I enjoyed having a proper iced coffee.

I only took a picture of the receipt for this cafe during my Graz trip. Anyway, it was nice because it was affordable for a simple meal.
