Restaurant we entered after being enticed by a friendly staff member on the way to New York Cafe.

Most restaurants open at 12 PM, so this was one of the few open places, and with a 4.4 Google Maps rating, we decided to give it a try!

It was a bit chilly, but there was a canopy, so we sat outside.

(If you order a Coke, they give you lemon with it.)

To get straight to the point, the schnitzel was delicious with its incredibly crispy coating. As for the goulash, it was my first time trying it at this particular restaurant. Compared to goulash I’ve had elsewhere, it wasn’t exceptionally amazing, but it wasn’t bad either.

And the pasta… it had a strong cheesy aroma, so it might be a divisive dish!

If you like that kind of flavor, you’ll probably enjoy it!

The bread served with the goulash was moist but bland.

It was so thick that it didn’t add much flavor even when eaten with the goulash.

The restroom was very clean!!!!

Including the Coke and tip, the total for two people was 13,435 Forint!

After eating, we went straight to New York Cafe!

Upon entering, there’s a line for reservations and a line for walk-ins. We just walked in and waited in the regular line for staff guidance.

We couldn’t get in immediately, so I wondered if it was already full, but that wasn’t the case, and we were seated quickly.

Even later, there were many empty seats, but they always made people wait.

It seems they have their own system.

We ordered a Cortado (similar to a cafe latte), an iced vanilla coffee, and tiramisu.

The Cortado was 2,800 Forint, and the rest was 4,025 Forint.

It was suuuuuuper expensive (about 15,000 KRW).

The coffee was just okay, but the tiramisu was absolutely amazing, highly recommend!

Many people upload live videos of New York Cafe, so I didn’t bother.

It’s good to quickly take photos at the photo spots when there’s no line.

A restaurant located near St. Stephen’s Basilica.

It’s open late and looked like it had a good atmosphere, so we went there.

It was also close to our accommodation. haha

We arrived a bit early, so there weren’t many people, but by 9 PM, it was packed and bustling.

Many customers were just drinking beer without eating.

I didn’t take clear pictures of the menu here, so please refer to the receipt below for prices…

First, the beer.

We ordered lamb chops, and the medium was more undercooked than I expected…

Medium-well was too overcooked, which I didn’t like…

Anyway, meat is good. It was delicious, but it loses its taste quickly as it cools, so don’t skimp and eat it first!

The white sauce tasted like a slightly tangy tartar sauce.

Roasted sweet potato ordered as a side.

The sweet potato was too crunchy, so I didn’t like it.

Like honey sweet potatoes in Korea? If you’re thinking of Outback’s side sweet potatoes, don’t order this!

This dish was like a chicken breast cutlet, but even though it was chicken breast, it was incredibly moist and tasted like steak.

It was delicious!

Prices are lamb chops, chicken breast steak, sweet potato, coke, and beer in order.

Total 24,783 Forint including tip.

This was the most expensive meal in Budapest.

This is also a chimney cake shop near St. Stephen’s Basilica.

This bakery is everywhere; it must be a national bakery.

I couldn’t find this on Google Maps, so I added it myself.

Adding Nutella was about 500 Forint.

I added Nutella to the basic vanilla and cinnamon cakes, but

the basic cake was more delicious.

It was still edible even when it cooled down.

This is an exchange office near the Hungary National Opera House, and it was cheaper than the airport.

I took a photo just in case, hoping it might be helpful to someone…

This place is also near the Opera House. We went in because we didn’t want a heavy meal and wanted something to fill us up moderately.

It was close to the exchange office.

Mom said it was salty, but I thought it was okay (even though I tend to eat less salty food).

But they said they would heat it up, and it was cold…

Is this racism!?!

But even cold pizza was delicious…

We came here because we were hungry after a lot of shopping.

There were quite a few restaurants, but we decided on this one because we were still craving authentic local food…

Plain tomato pasta.

The pasta was overcooked and mushy. It wasn’t cooked to my preference, but it was okay.

But the portion size was huge! Everyone here must be a big eater…

This is the potato soup.

I liked the cozy and savory potato flavor, but it was too salty.

If you like potatoes, you might like it.

This is a BBQ pork ribs and fries set. The meat was very tender and delicious. I found out it was pork.

The texture of the meat was like shredded dried beef, so I thought it was beef…

The edges were a bit tough from being overcooked, but the sauce was delicious, so I liked it.

The fries were also freshly fried and warm, but it was a shame there was no ketchup.

Anyway, 2 mains, 1 side, and 2 beers totaled 21,034 Forint.

They had a tourist set menu, which seemed like the best value for money.

The price was much cheaper, and the composition was good.

If I hadn’t tried goulash yet, I probably would have ordered this!
