Karaksa Day 1 Breakfast
Unlike Richmond, this was a buffet.
It’s nice to be able to pick and choose what you want to eat.

I took a light brunch-style plate.
I also took some soup curry, which I enjoyed.
It wasn’t as good as Suage, but it was still delicious.
And the pineapple was very sweet, but the strawberries were too sour.

If you take the subway to Miyanoshawa Station,
you can go to the chocolate factory, Shiroi Koibito Park.

You can buy tickets and enter after queuing.
We watched a short video about how the factory was created.
The owner was very self-aggrandizing.
My sister and I thought, “This is so Japan.”

You can also see the factory through glass windows.
I thought the employees must be annoyed (Are you a T?)

There are a total of three cafes and restaurants inside the factory.
We went to one of them and ordered a parfait.
The price was outrageously expensive.
I wanted to order an ade from another shop,
but they said it was from a different shop, so I only ordered one.

When you finish the tour and come down, there’s a souvenir shop.
I didn’t take pictures because I was buying snacks… haha
They sell cookies that taste like premium cookies.
They’re delicious.

There are many things to see and photo spots outside as well.

Now, let’s head to the train station to explore Otaru!
It takes about a 20-minute walk from Shiroi Koibito Park to Hassamu Station.
But it felt like 20 minutes longer because it was so hot…
As we got closer, we saw the train tracks, and it felt like a scene from a movie~

Minami Otaru Station!
When you ride the JR train, you can see the sea,
but the train windows were so dirty that I couldn’t take a proper picture ㅠ
What a shame.

It’s about a 10-minute walk from Minami Otaru Station to the Music Box Museum.

I like frogs.
I considered buying one, but I didn’t have a good place to put it, so I didn’t.

You can hear music boxes playing everywhere,
but it doesn’t sound like noise at all.
I used to wonder why people buy music boxes, but here I discovered their charm…
It’s a cozy sound that might help you sleep if you play it at night.

There were several famous dessert shops like LeTAO, but we visited the largest one near the Music Box Museum (probably the main store).
But there were no seats and a long wait, so we decided to eat first.

We were debating what to eat, but the place we wanted to go was closed ㅠ
So we just went to a regular ramen place.
(I didn’t feel like eating seafood, and everything else was sushi and seafood places.)
I saw a notice posted, and when I looked closer, it said “Don’t come.” LOL

I didn’t even take proper pictures, but this is the best ramen place of my life…
I don’t usually like ramen (I didn’t like Ichiran Ramen either),
but this place is really good. I ordered the signature? Special Miso Ramen.
I understood why it’s the signature.
Ramen Misora < If you go here, definitely order the Special…
There’s not a single topping that’s not worth it.

For dessert, we went back to the LeTAO main store, but the wait had actually increased;
We were both tired, and they said we could eat at other locations,
so we quickly gave up and went into a cafe with plenty of seats across the street.
It turned out this was also LeTAO lol
The full name is Fromage Danish Dan LeTAO.
But I’m glad we came here because the cheese tart was amazing.
My sister, who had tried LeTAO cakes, said this cheese tart was much better,
and even I, who’m not much of a dessert person, bought another one.
It was truly a 감동적인 (touching/moving) taste..
And my sister told me this was the reason to come to Otaru: the Otaru Canal.
I thought you came for the Music Box Museum? haha
She said it’s pretty at night, but it was a shame it was daytime.
But I can’t wait any longer! My legs were killing me ㅠ
Someone in a flower pot costume in the middle of the canal startled me, and I screamed.
We took a commemorative photo, and since they seemed to be suffering in the heat, I gave them a tip.
I checked the timetable at Otaru Station and ran like crazy.
If I hadn’t taken pictures on the train tracks, I might have had more time…
This really felt like the hardest day of the trip..
I walked 20,000 steps every day in the heat, and with accumulated fatigue, I was gasping for air again today.
I took the train back to the hotel from Sapporo Station… no, not quite.

The reason for the hurried return was that the reptile and bird cafe near the hotel was closing at 7 PM.
We got there as quickly as possible, but it happened to be closed on Wednesdays…
I was so sad.

After showering and resting at the hotel, we went out for dinner.
Hinachan, an okonomiyaki specialty restaurant, was the only place I really wanted to go.
I don’t even really like okonomiyaki. lol
But I heard their udon okonomiyaki is very delicious.
(There were many reviews from Koreans, and the people next to us were also Korean.)

We ordered Udon and Corn Butter.
But it was incredibly delicious.
I almost ordered another one. It’s the best okonomiyaki I’ve ever had.

Since it was the last day, we went to Round1 to spend some more cash and tried the crane games again.
I failed to adopt the second Kirby ㅠ
The Kirby I got was cute, but the one with the expression ◕ )-(◕ was so cute
I almost wanted to bring it back and exchange it.
After playing games, we felt a little hungry,
so we had takoyaki from a street vendor (right in front of Don Quijote) that my sister wanted to eat.
Actually, I don’t really like takoyaki either lol
But it was edible!
The highball was delicious…
After eating, we went to Mega Don Quijote for shopping!
The staff gave us a discount coupon that could be used for purchases over 10,000 yen.
Thanks to this, I used up almost all my cash.
I really wanted the giant Kirby, but it was around 8,000 or 9,000 yen.
Anyway, the price was so shocking that I just took a picture and left it ㅠ

The next day, we had a simple breakfast at Karaksa again
and headed to the airport bus we had booked for the 11 AM flight.
We had exactly the remaining 2,200 yen for the two tickets.
Suddenly, I couldn’t find 100 yen, and I was briefly panicked,
but I was able to find it in my bag because we paid when we got off.

At the airport, I tried the LeTAO cake my sister mentioned,
but it was definitely not as good as the cheese tart I had yesterday.
And at the airport, there were quite a few shops with long lines,
especially for desserts, the lines were very long.

Looking at the photos again, I don’t want to go home…
It was my first trip abroad with my sister, and we didn’t fight at all, which was great.
I want to go on another trip.
