Today, by chance, I, Chaechae, came all the way to Gangnam for a hangover cure…

I was craving galbitang so much that I searched and found a place called Jeongmi Kkakdugi near Sinnonhyeon Station.

The restaurant’s name is a side dish, not a menu item?

And they serve kkakdugi?

I came because it seemed like it would be delicious no matter what. lol

The dining area wasn’t spacious, but there were quite a few tables.

There were also seolleongtang dishes and quite a few bar-style dishes on the menu.

I ordered galbitang, and it was 16,000 won, seriously?

Gangnam prices are indeed crazy…

Here are the basic side dishes.

Napa cabbage kimchi, kkakdugi, stir-fried fish cakes.

And they gave us tongs and scissors.

I guess they gave them to us to help separate the meat from the ribs.

The portion of rice was quite generous.

I came for a hangover cure, so I couldn’t finish it all… haha

And first of all, the kimchi looks great!

It’s a visual that calls for a sip of broth followed by a bite of kkakdugi.

And here’s the galbitang I was so eager to eat!!!

I especially wanted the glass noodles inside…

I generously added pepper from the table.

I like the taste of pepper, so I add quite a lot, to the point where my friends would be surprised.

They might think I added too much by mistake. lol

The ribs were so tenderly boiled that they came right off the bone without needing scissors.

Thanks to that, they came off easily without straining my grip.

I cut them into bite-sized pieces with scissors.

As expected from a place named Jeongmi Kkakdugi, I refilled the kkakdugi several times…

Eating the spicy galbitang broth, enhanced with plenty of pepper, with the sweet and sour kkakdugi was a 200% hangover cure, wouldn’t you say? lol

The only downside is the price, but it’s Gangnam, and it’s galbitang, so… I’ll overlook it.

If it hadn’t tasted good, I wouldn’t have forgiven it!
