Sinnonhyeon Station Jeongmi Kkakdugi Main Branch Galbitang Lunch Recommendation

Today, by chance, I, Chaechae, came all the way to Gangnam for a hangover meal..

I really wanted to eat Galbitang, so I searched and ended up at a place called Jeongmi Kkakdugi near Sinnonhyeon Station.

The restaurant name is a side dish, not a menu item?

And they shave kkakdugi?

I came because I was sure it would be delicious. lol

The dining area wasn’t spacious, but there were quite a few tables.

The menu included Seolleongtang and quite a few side dishes for drinking.

I ordered Galbitang, and it was 16,000 won, seriously?

Gangnam prices are indeed crazy..

This is the basic setting.

Napa cabbage kimchi, kkakdugi, stir-fried fish cakes.

And they gave us tongs and scissors.

I guess they gave them to us to take the meat off the ribs.

The portion of rice was quite generous.

I came for a hangover meal, so I couldn’t finish it all… haha

And first of all, the kimchi looks great!

It’s a visual that calls for a sip of broth and a bite of kkakdugi.

And here comes the Galbitang I wanted so much!!!

I especially wanted the glass noodles inside…

I generously sprinkled the pepper from the table.

I like the taste of pepper, so I tend to use a lot, to the point where my friends would be surprised.

They might think I accidentally put too much lol

The ribs were so tenderly boiled that they came off the bone effortlessly, without needing scissors.

Thanks to that, I could easily pull the meat off without straining my hands.

I cut it into bite-sized pieces with scissors.

As expected from Jeongmi Kkakdugi, which lives up to its name, I refilled the kkakdugi several times…

Eating the spicy Galbitang broth, enhanced with plenty of pepper, with the sweet and sour kkakdugi was a 200% hangover cure, wouldn’t you say? lol

The only downside is the price, but since it’s Gangnam and it’s Galbitang… I’ll overlook it.

If it hadn’t tasted good, I wouldn’t have forgiven them!
