Wow, I didn’t know there was an izakaya open this late in Haenggung-dong????

Was I the only one who didn’t know????

Me, visiting Haenggung-dong izakaya Rakuen…

The map description mentioned something about an alley, making me wonder if it was hard to find… but when I got there, Rakuen was easy to find!

The glowing tiled roof from afar was so beautiful 👍

The entrance itself is so pretty.

I think the photo is blurry because I was too excited.

I had made a reservation, so the table for 6 was already set up, and it seemed like there was more than enough space for a gathering with friends!!!

There was even an outdoor terrace seating area on the first floor. If the weather had been just a little warmer, I would have loved to have a drink outside with that view…

The interior design is absolutely stunning.

This place has the perfect atmosphere for a Haenggung-dong date, like a cozy izakaya ^_ㅠ

There was a second floor, so I went up to check it out.

The stairs were also quite something… I took a mirror selfie.

There were quite a few customers on the second floor too, so I took photos quickly.

Seriously, didn’t the owner do an amazing job with the interior design? I want to go back again.

The second floor felt brighter than the first, giving it more of a ‘friend zone’ vibe than a couple’s spot? lol

But since the women’s restroom is on the first floor, I’ll choose to sit on the first floor next time.

The restroom was also very clean, so it passes the test!!!!

Rakuen Menu

After looking around, we finally sat down…

We ordered using the tablet PC, but since there are many menu items, please refer to the menu posted outside lol

The basic side dish is edamame, but I don’t like beans!

Still, they gave it to us, so I politely tried one, and it tasted like beans~

And my friends were late, so I ordered the food as I pleased~! Hehehe

First, I ordered the spicy Nagasaki Jjamppong!

Dish 1: Spicy Nagasaki Jjamppong

It comes with udon noodles, making it a great dish for both a snack and a meal!

What was even more impressive was that the shrimp shells were already peeled, making it very easy to eat…

What’s with the owner’s thoughtfulness!!!!!! Highly recommended.

Dish 2: Okonomiyaki

Actually, I don’t like okonomiyaki.

So when my friend suggested ordering it, I initially vetoed it, but then I joked, ‘Sure, order it~’ and only tried a bite out of politeness.

But wow?????? It was delicious lol?

This one is also recommended!

Dish 3: Mentaiko Cream Pasta

Did you know that pasta can be a surprisingly good pairing with alcohol?

I ordered it just because I was hungry, but it was surprisingly delicious.

It had a strong milky flavor, which I liked, but it might be hit or miss for those who don’t like intense milky tastes!!

Dish 4: Chicken Karaage

Do I even need to say it? It’s a dish that can’t go wrong.

It was piping hot and the chicken was so tender that even though I was full, I kept reaching for more…

That’s strange… why does it feel like the portion is small..? lol It’s just too delicious..

I also finally took an ‘MZ shot’ at Rakuen, a bar in Haenggung-dong lol

The lighting is soft, and the atmosphere is gooood.

I highly, highly recommend Rakuen for any occasion, whether it’s a date, a blind date, or a gathering in Haenggung-dong izakaya!!!
