Barangshi Guesthouse, Seongsan Barangshi Guesthouse

This was my first guesthouse during my trip to Jeju!

It’s located right in Seongsan, at Barangshi Guesthouse.

I wanted to go to a party guesthouse, but I didn’t want a huge, crowded party.

I came here based on a friend’s recommendation!

(If you contact them in advance, you can get picked up from a nearby bus stop!)

It’s a space on the first floor with a counter.

I received my room key here and went upstairs!

I arrived after 5 PM, and it seemed like they were preparing for a party.

I was in a 6-person dormitory, and I was surprised at how spacious it was.

In fact, I was the only guest in the 6-person room! 😂

It seems everyone else went to the twin rooms…

As soon as you enter, there’s a bathroom right next to it.

The bathroom was spacious, which was great!

Hot water came out well too! 😊

Each bed has a pillow, blanket, and one towel provided!

Since it was winter, the air in the room was quite cold.

Maybe because the room was spacious and I was alone, it didn’t warm up quickly. 😢

So later, I asked the staff for an electric blanket!

If you’re feeling cold, make sure to request one!

Since it was a women’s room, I could feel that they paid attention to details like a full-length mirror and a vanity mirror.

However, there was only one hairdryer!

I found it convenient to use alone, but it felt a bit lonely. 😅

Party Time

If you go down in time for the first party, they prepare food like this.

I’ve been to Jeju several times, but I’ve never been to a black pork restaurant.

But the barbecue they served here was absolutely delicious!

It wasn’t boiled pork, but real grilled barbecue, and I was so satisfied.

Also, I tried sweet shrimp here for the first time, and compared to the ones I had later,

it was really fresh sweet shrimp. After eating it here, I had sweet shrimp at another bar,

and it tasted fishy. 😭

Barangshi Guesthouse party food is truly reliable!

Honestly, I didn’t expect much from party food, but this was the best I’ve had!

Second Party

This is a photo taken while waiting for the second party after the first one ended.

There was a sofa in the corner of the first floor, so I rested there. 😄

Since everyone filled up a bit, the second party had simple snacks.

There were shaved ice, bananas, snacks, and roasted marshmallows!

If you roast them well and peel off the skin, they taste great!

And another guest ordered more snacks for us…

Party Atmosphere

The owner and staff of Barangshi were so much fun, making the party enjoyable throughout.

Most importantly, it was the small party I wanted, so I was very satisfied.

When I see party photos from other guesthouses, they look like wild parties with over 100 people,

which made me hesitant to go (though those might be peak season photos).

I highly recommend this place for those who want to party but don’t want to feel drained!

When I went, there were about 15 people, but since it was a weekday, it seemed a bit less!
