We were looking for a small company dinner venue and searched for Baegya 다이닝라운지 in Jeongja-dong. We chose this place because we wanted to go somewhere delicious for our company dinner. We booked immediately, drawn in by the name ‘[LB_KEEP_2]’. It was convenient that same-day reservations were possible.

When we arrived around 6 PM, there weren’t many people. The interior was quite spacious and clean.

Water taste: Approved! Bars with good water are always the best.

The basic side dish was wasabi mayo pollock roe stick, which had an addictive taste. At first, it seemed like there was only one staff member, so the food took a while to come out, but we appeased our hunger with this while we waited. It was so delicious that we even asked for a refill.

Main Menu Review

Clam Stew

This was the menu chosen by the directors who don’t eat a lot of appetizers. The clams were quite large, giving a good chew, and the portion was surprisingly generous. The buttery aroma was pleasant, and it was salty, making it a perfect accompaniment to drinks.

Chicken Neck Tangsuyuk

We ordered this dish because we wanted to try the tangsuyuk from Yongyongseong. Since we went to an izakaya for the first round, we needed something to fill us up. It was incredibly delicious, and the cabbage and onions underneath were a stroke of genius. The vegetables soaked in the sauce were truly amazing.

Motsunabe

We ordered this soup dish because we needed something soupy while drinking. I usually don’t order motsunabe because it can be too oily and greasy at places that don’t make it well, but this place was good. Overall, all the dishes here seem to be delicious.

Service Menu (Presumed)

We couldn’t find this on the menu, so it seems like it was given as a service. It might not be updated on the Naver Place menu. The chicken wings had a sour taste, which wasn’t quite my style, but the onions served alongside were fantastic. I think we even requested extra onions.

Pollock Roe Something (Presumed)

This also wasn’t on the menu. We assume it’s some kind of pollock roe dish. It had a familiar taste, but the cucumber peel was removed, giving it a slightly more premium feel.

Futomaki

It was nice that they offered half rolls of futomaki. Of course, we ordered a full roll. It came out last, but it was indeed the most delicious. It was a fail-proof menu item.

Beef Brisket and Bean Sprout Stir-fry

Finally, we ordered the beef brisket and bean sprout stir-fry. The four of us ate a lot. It’s a common dish, so everyone knew what to expect, but the portion size was very generous.

Overall Review

I thought it would be very sophisticated because it’s called 다이닝라운지, but it wasn’t quite that; it felt like a decent izakaya. The appetizer prices weren’t high, the taste was at least average or better, and the portions were generous, so we were satisfied.

Although we visited for a company dinner, I would also recommend it as a place for a blind date! I especially want to go back to eat the futomaki again because it was so delicious.
