Hello! In this post, I’m going to introduce Aсси Dakbal, a dakbal (spicy chicken feet) restaurant near Sanghyeon Station that I’ve finally found. My previous favorite dakbal place unfortunately closed down, so I’ve been a nomad searching for dakbal for about two years now. Although Aсси Dakbal is a chain, there wasn’t one near where I live, so I had never visited before. I had only heard good things about it and finally got to try it out!

It’s located about a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Sanghyeon Station, making it very close to the station. Additionally, this place offers outdoor seating (yaja), with as many as four tables available.

It’s originally a takeout and delivery specialty store, so the dining area isn’t very large, but it’s a decent space. There were 8 of us, and it seemed like they could accommodate larger groups sufficiently.

Since there were many of us, we ordered a variety of dishes. Please check the photos below to see exactly what we ordered! ^_______^

Fantastic Steamed Egg

The steamed egg here is absolutely amazing! It was incredibly fluffy and moist, melting in my mouth. It was so delicious that we finished it all very quickly.

Main Dishes: Soup Dakbal and Rice Balls

The dish I was most looking forward to was the boneless soup dakbal. Bean sprouts, chopped scallions, and quail eggs are served with it by default. The portion size of the dakbal was quite generous, which was very satisfying. They also provide mentaiko mayo sauce and perilla leaves to enjoy with the dakbal. (Can you see that the steamed egg is already more than half gone before the dakbal even arrived? lol)

And the rice balls we diligently ordered! Rice balls can be a bit plain without pickled radish and mayonnaise, but the rice balls here were truly delicious. I think I need to visit again this weekend.

Unexpectedly a Fried Chicken Gem? Garlic Fried Chicken

This is the garlic fried chicken dish. Wow, it’s a dakbal place, but can fried chicken be this delicious too? It tasted similar to honey combo. I highly recommend this dish to those who can’t handle spicy food very well! 👍👍👍

Stir-fried Boneless Dakbal

In addition to the soup dakbal, we also ordered the stir-fried boneless dakbal. I’m usually a soup person and wouldn’t normally even look at stir-fried dakbal, but since the dakbal here was so good, I tried a bite of the stir-fried version. It was piping hot right off the grill, and as expected, it was incredibly delicious! They say the stir-fried dakbal is a bit spicier than the soup dakbal. (This is according to my friend who has a low spice tolerance~)

Disappointing Pork Cartilage

Unfortunately, the pork cartilage was just average. It felt like there was too much seasoning, and the thick taste of gochujang (red chili paste) was strong. However, since this is a dakbal specialty restaurant, we can overlook this minor issue. 🙏 Nevertheless, I plan to visit again. ^___^

As we were leaving, I noticed they were also selling organic free-range eggs. It might be helpful to know.

Aсси Dakbal, Sanghyeon Station’s top-tier dakbal restaurant! I regretted not visiting sooner because it was so delicious. I’m so happy to have finally found my life’s best dakbal place. Someone please open an Aсси Dakbal in my neighborhood… Please…….
