I went to Haidilao for on-site waiting before.

The waiting time was like 4 hours..? so I always couldn’t eat and went to another restaurant.

This day was a weekday, so I could pre-register for waiting through Catch Table.

I calculated the time for Jinju and me to go to Gangnam after work.

I applied for waiting through Catch Table around 5 PM and arrived!

(I was late applying because I was doing other things;;)

Since there was still a lot of time left, I looked at clothes nearby.

I entered about 15 minutes before the estimated time.

It felt like I waited for about 30 minutes after coming in.

Since it’s a popular restaurant, the waiting area is well-equipped.

While waiting, I had some drinks and snacks.

Haidilao Broth Recommendations

Clear broth + Tomato broth + Mala broth + Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup)

This combination was the best choice…

I wondered why they served clear broth, but it’s for washing the ladle lol.

The mala broth is quite spicy, so it’s hard to keep eating it.

But with the sweet tomato broth, it’s a spicy-sweet-spicy-sweet cycle.

I can’t stop using my chopsticks…

And the samgyetang is perfect for cleansing your palate once in a while lol.

I made my own ☆Youngji Sauce☆ at the self-serve bar.

I really dislike peanut flavor, but why is this one delicious?

I want to go again… slurp

Next time I’ll try the Geonhee sauce…

I ordered Coke at first, then changed to unlimited drinks.

But we were both so full that we only drank once each lol.

But it’s only about 500 won difference, so it seems better to switch?

I tried the chopstick rolling skill I’ve only seen in videos.

It’s harder than I thought to roll them.

And when you roll them and put them in the broth, it takes a long time to cook.

So later, I just dropped them in and ate them lol.

After finishing, I added beef brisket and mushrooms, and New Jeans noodles?

I’m not sure if it’s New Jeans noodles, but among the noodle options, that one was the most delicious so I added it.

It’s chewy and delicious, like fenugreek noodles but also like glass noodles…

I always ate the same ingredients when eating mala tang or mala xiang guo, so I didn’t know.

It was nice to discover a new delicious ingredient…

As expected, it’s never bad to go with someone who knows how to eat well.

If you’re going to Haidilao for the first time, make sure to go with someone who knows how to order.

Otherwise, you might get confused and miss your waiting time lol.

It’s located between Gangnam Station and 신논현역,

and the store name is Haidilao Hot Pot Seocho Branch, so it was hard to find lol.

But it’s too expensive to come often…

I think I’ll definitely revisit about once a quarter to splurge…

But this is only when I can pre-register for waiting through Catch Table…

I hope Jinju moves to my neighborhood soon so we can go for late-night mukbang…
