While searching for a small company dinner venue, I looked up Baegya Dining Lounge in Jeongja. I chose this place because I thought we had to go somewhere delicious for a company dinner. I was drawn in by the name ‘Dining Lounge’ and booked it right away. It was convenient that same-day reservations were possible.<\/p>\n

When I arrived around 6 PM, there weren’t many people. The interior was quite spacious and clean.<\/p>\n

Water taste: Approved! Bars with good water are always the best.<\/p>\n

The complimentary appetizer was wasabi mayo pollock roe, and it was addictively delicious. At first, the service was a bit slow because there seemed to be only one staff member, but we appeased our hunger with this while waiting. It was so good that we even asked for a refill.<\/p>\n

This was the menu chosen by the executives who don’t eat a lot of appetizers. The clams were quite large, giving a good chew, and the portion was surprisingly generous. The buttery aroma was pleasant, and it was salty, making it a perfect accompaniment to drinks.<\/p>\n

I ordered this menu because I wanted to try Yu Rin Ki, similar to the one at Yongyongseang. Since we went to an izakaya for the first round, we needed something to fill us up. It was incredibly delicious, and the cabbage and onions underneath were a stroke of genius. The vegetables soaked in the sauce were truly amazing.<\/p>\n

We ordered this soup dish because we needed something soupy while drinking. I usually don’t order motsunabe because it can be too oily and rich at places that don’t make it well, but this place was good. Overall, all the dishes here seem to be delicious.<\/p>\n

I couldn’t find this on the menu, so I think it was a complimentary item. It seems the Naver Place menu hasn’t been updated. The chicken wings had a sour taste, which wasn’t quite my style, but the onions served alongside were fantastic. I think we even requested extra onions.<\/p>\n

This also wasn’t on the menu. I’m assuming it’s some kind of pollock roe dish. It tasted familiar, but the fact that even the cucumber skin was meticulously prepared gave it a slightly more upscale feel.<\/p>\n

It was nice that they offered half rolls of futomaki. Of course, we ordered a full roll. It was the last to arrive, but it was also the most delicious. It was a foolproof menu item.<\/p>\n

Beef Brisket and Bean Sprout Stir-fry<\/h4>\n

Finally, we ordered the beef brisket and bean sprout stir-fry. The four of us ate a lot. It’s a common dish, so everyone knew the taste, but the portion size was very generous.<\/p>\n

Overall Impression<\/h3>\n

I expected ‘Dining Lounge’ to sound very sophisticated, but it felt more like a decent izakaya. The appetizer prices weren’t high, and the taste was at least average or above, with generous portions, which was satisfying.<\/p>\n

Although we visited for a company dinner, I would also recommend it for a blind date! I especially want to go back to eat the futomaki again because it was so delicious.<\/p>\n
