Today, we’re introducing a must-visit restaurant in Chuncheon<\/a>, Sodamsongha, a specialty galbi (short ribs) restaurant. Among its various branches, this one operates as Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak<\/b>, which also includes a cafe. According to Naver Place information, there is no break time on weekends.<\/p>\n

If you go up the stairs to the right of the entrance, you’ll find the cafe area. When we visited, it was full, so we had to wait for a bit. Even at the awkward time of 4:30 PM, there were many customers. We were grateful for the kindness of the cafe owner who provided us with warm water while we waited in the cold weather.<\/p>\n

There is also an outdoor terrace area, which is great for enjoying leisure time outdoors when the weather is nice.<\/p>\n

Order and Menu<\/h3>\n

Once seated, the white marble table was impressive. Charcoal was prepared first, and orders could be placed via tablets provided at each table. Surprisingly, cafe menu items could also be ordered through the same tablet.<\/p>\n

We ordered 1kg of galbi-sal (rib meat), and the meat was piled up like a mountain.<\/p>\n

Among the side dishes, the muk-sabal (jellied noodles in cold broth) was particularly delicious. Its sour and refreshing taste stimulated our appetite and was perfect for cutting through the richness of the galbi. It was the best!<\/p>\n

We also ordered Doenjang-somyeon (noodles in soybean paste soup) as an additional dish. We ordered it here because we couldn’t forget the amazing taste of Doenjang-somyeon we had for the first time. Initially, the noodles were cooked separately, and the soybean paste flavor wasn’t fully absorbed, which was a bit disappointing. However, as time passed and the noodles absorbed the broth, it became delicious again.<\/p>\n

The galbi, being grilled so deliciously, was truly melt-in-your-mouth and incredibly moving. It felt even more special since it had been a while since we had beef. Controlling the cooking of beef is important, and it’s most delicious when eaten tenderly with a slight hint of pink.<\/p>\n

Finally, we enjoyed the bibim-naengmyeon. We were so engrossed in eating that we forgot to take a picture of it initially, but it was exactly the delicious bibim-naengmyeon you’d expect from a good meat restaurant.<\/p>\n

Overall Review<\/h3>\n

Sodamsongha & The 9 Peak in Chuncheon<\/a> had many families dining, and with plenty of spacious seating, it’s also suitable for group visits. It’s the perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy, as you can get coffee and dessert all in one spot.<\/p>\n
