It’s been a while since my last review. Life has been so busy, it’s tough being a hobby enthusiast!<\/p>\n

The Chuncheon<\/a> restaurant I visited this time was already back in July. No matter how far away a place is, I visit regularly because my family lives there.<\/p>\n

When you come to Chuncheon<\/a>, it has to be dakgalbi, right? I was tired from playing in the water that day, so instead of going far, I was introduced to a local restaurant in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The interior hall had about 7 tables, so it was cozy. However, because the tables were large, it didn’t feel that small.<\/p>\n

We ordered 3 servings of the basic dakgalbi. I was curious about the spicy dakgalbi, but since there was someone who can’t handle spice, I didn’t even bring it up. Plus, I was being treated, so I had to eat what they ordered. (I want to try the chicken giblets someday.)<\/p>\n

What makes this place a really great restaurant:<\/p>\n

  1. It’s not plain water (I can’t remember if it was Hovenia dulcis tea or barley tea).<\/li>\n
  2. They give you plum tea. For digestion, it has to be plum, right? Ready to overeat;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The basic side dishes include garlic, ssam vegetables, and dongchimi. It’s simple but feels complete. The owner watches and if you’ve eaten more than half, they refill it generously right away. The generosity is amazing~<\/p>\n

    The dakgalbi is stir-fried diligently. As I was taking pictures, they kept moving aside. It’s okay, owner…!!!! You can just do it…!!<\/p>\n

    The taste of the dakgalbi was, as expected from a Chuncheon<\/a> local restaurant, incredibly delicious. I was really hungry, but I don’t usually overeat even with regular meals, but wrapped in ssam, it just kept going. Honestly, I ate the most out of the three of us.<\/p>\n

    We couldn’t skip the fried rice either! Actually, everyone was so full that we hesitated, but we decided we had to try the taste, so we ordered just one cheese fried rice.<\/p>\n

    I tend to prefer basic fried rice over cheese, but it was delicious after not having it for a while. The seasoning itself is delicious, so both the dakgalbi and the fried rice are tasty.<\/p>\n

    And I was a bit disappointed that there was no kimchi (in the fried rice)~ but maybe because they heard me (or maybe they always give it), they brought out fresh kimchi too..!! And this kimchi was really good \u314b It looked like fresh kimchi, but it didn’t taste like it at all; it wasn’t too salty, and it had just the right amount of fermented seafood flavor that I like, so I devoured it.<\/p>\n

    For those who want to visit a real local restaurant in Chuncheon<\/a>, not just a common one that appears on Instagram and blogs, I highly recommend Chammi Dakgalbi!<\/p>\n
