LINKBOO Points & Rewards Policy

Version v1.6 · Notice 2026-10-12 · Effective 2026-10-12

Terms of Service Privacy Policy Child Safety Revision history

Language notice. This English text is a translation provided for convenience. If there is any conflict with the Korean Points & Rewards Policy, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)

  1. This Policy sets detailed operating rules, under Article 4 of the LINKBOO Terms of Service (the “Terms”), for earning, deducting and spending points, registration rules by link type, and allocating, settling and paying out Rewards on linksboo.com, the LINKBOO app and linksboo.blog.
  2. Matters not covered here follow the Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable law. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms, the Terms prevail.
  3. Figures such as “50,000” or “500,000” mean Reward Point quantities, not Korean won, unless stated otherwise. Conversion of Reward Points to cash or gift cards follows Article 11.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. “Free Points” and “Paid Points” are a non-cashable activity wallet from visit credits, referrals, events, and paid top-ups; amounts granted free of charge by the Company are “Free Points” and amounts the Member tops up by payment are “Paid Points”. They are not redeemable for external cash. Any gift-card or coupon exchange offered as an event does not mean cashability or a refund and follows separate notices (mobile coupon exchange in the Point Shop follows Article 7-4). They are not spent directly on link exposure/clicks; Members assign chosen amounts to Ad Points. The unit is P. On Service screens they are shown as “Free Points”, “Paid Points”, “Ad Points (AP)” and “Reward Points (RP)”. “Activity points”, “complimentary points” and “LINKBOO Points” on earlier screens are the same as Free Points.
  2. “Ad Points (AP)” are the balance used for link exposure, boosting, and inbound-click debits. They are credited by assigning Free Points or Paid Points or by complimentary grants set by the Company (e.g. signup bonus). The on-screen unit is AP.
  3. “Assignment” means converting Free Points or Paid Points into Ad Points. Assignment is use of those points (Terms Articles 10–11); the same quantity is credited as Ad Points and cannot be converted back.
  4. “Curation page” has the same meaning as in Article 2 of the Terms: a multilingual intro/summary page that does not republish the full original and includes a backlink to the source blog.
  5. “Reward Points (RP)” are settlement ledger units accrued based on verified reader contribution on curation pages. Subject to Company criteria, Members may apply to redeem them as cash or gift cards.
  6. “Valid hit” means one counted visit when a post tab is visible and the window is focused for a cumulative 10 seconds. The same visitor and post are limited to one valid hit per 24 hours.
  7. “Dwell credit” means visible focused seconds used for settlement weighting, accumulated per visitor·post·month up to a cap of 60 seconds.
  8. “Reward unit rate” means Reward Points credited per 1.0 contribution score. The Company publishes the rate and its effective period.
  9. “Settlement target month” means the prior month whose performance is aggregated and calculated; accrued Rewards are credited during settlement in the following month.
  10. “Revenue-share partnership” means the status under which a Member’s calculated Rewards for a settlement target month may be automatically credited during the next month’s settlement.
  11. “Original blog post” means content corresponding to an original blog post URL registered by the Member on LINKBOO, including the source later synced and published on LINKBLOG.
  12. “Flow” means the screen that opens when a card in a list such as the LINKBOO home or search is tapped, showing the items of that list one at a time. Tapping the “Visit link” button (or the link title) on a user link’s Flow screen to go to that link is a “Visit link click”. Opening Flow, or an item appearing on screen in Flow, is not a Visit link click.
  13. “Referral link” means a LINKBOO address carrying a Member’s referral code (?ref=); a visitor who arrives through a referral link is a “referred visitor”.
  14. “User link” means a link registered by a Member (website, blog, shopping product, Member YouTube link, etc.), and “platform video” means a public YouTube video that the Company receives through YouTube API Services and shows in the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and Changes)

  1. This Policy takes effect when posted in the Service or notified as provided in the Terms.
  2. The Company may change unit values, allocation ratios, payout thresholds, and similar details for market, operational, or technical reasons. Changes are announced at least 7 days in advance via in-Service notice or this Policy page under Terms Article 4(2). Adverse changes follow Terms Article 3(3).
  3. Revisions state version, notice date, and effective date, and record key changes in the revision history.

Article 4 (Role Separation and Metric Source)

  1. LINKBLOG (linksboo.blog) provides publishing, reader UX, and source metrics such as valid hits and dwell.
  2. LINKBOO (linksboo.com) manages member accounts, Free Point and Paid Point, Ad Point, and Reward Point ledgers, revenue-share partnership status, and payout/tax processing.
  3. The single source of publish/hit/dwell metrics used for settlement is LINKBLOG; LINKBOO reads them via integration APIs (or equivalent) to maintain the settlement ledger.

Article 5 (Signup, Referral, Complimentary Grants)

To discourage multi-accounting and abuse and to reward legitimate activity, the Company may grant Free Points as follows. Timing and conditions follow on-screen notices.

  1. Signup bonus: upon completing phone verification, 1,000 AP (Ad Points) are granted.
  2. Joiner referral extra: with a referral code on file at verification, the joiner also receives 500 Free Points (separate from the Ad Points signup bonus).
  3. Referral credit: when a referred Member completes phone verification with a referral code on file (or first registers a referral code after verification), the referrer receives 500 Free Points (shown as “Referral credit”). A referral code may be set once — at sign-up, before phone verification, or after; once applied, it cannot be changed.
  4. Referral visit credit: when a referred visitor who is not logged in makes a Visit link click on a normal user link and that link’s registrant is actually debited Ad Points, the referrer receives 5 Free Points (shown in the point history as “Referral click”).
    1. Credited only once per referred visitor per referrer. The same visitor is identified by IP address (or visitor cookie) and device; while the detection record is kept (90 days), clicks on other links by the same visitor are not credited again.
    2. Referral visit credits per referrer are capped at 15,000 P per month (the “Referral credit” in (3) does not count toward this cap).
    3. Credited only to referrers who have completed phone verification.
    4. Nothing is credited when the visit is to a link registered by the referrer, or when it comes from a device the referrer has used while logged in.
    5. Nothing is credited for clicks on links that give no visit credit, such as Member YouTube links (Article 6-2), posts automatically collected by the Company, and Coupang Partners addresses.
    6. Clicks by logged-in Members give the referrer nothing (that Member receives the visit credit under Article 6).
    7. Referral visit credits do not use the referrer’s daily visit-credit count (Article 6(8)), and there is no separate daily limit on the number of credits.
    8. The credit for a referred visitor watching a YouTube video (previously 2 P for 10 seconds of watching) and the credit for a link being seen in Flow have been abolished. Nothing is credited if the referred visitor only opens Flow, swipes through, or watches videos.
  5. Other event/mission points follow separate notices (generally Free Points).

Article 6 (Visit Credit, Click Debit, Assignment, Daily Cap)

  1. Visit credit (logged-in Member makes a Visit link click on another Member’s user link, excluding Member YouTube links — Article 6-2) — Free Points:
    1. Standard link visit: +20 P
    2. Boosted link visit: +40 P
  2. Inbound debit (your link is visited through a Visit link click, including by non-logged-in visitors) — Ad Points (AP):
    1. Standard inbound: −10 AP
    2. Boosted inbound: −30 AP
  3. Where points move: tapping a user link’s card on the home, search, etc. opens the Flow screen, and the link is reached only by tapping “Visit link” on that Flow screen. Points are credited and debited only on this Visit link click, and the visit credit, registrant debit and referral visit credit are processed together when the visitor leaves Linksboo for at least 5 seconds after the click and comes back within 30 minutes. If the visitor comes back sooner, it is processed after they leave and return again; if they do not return within 30 minutes, nothing is processed. If another link is clicked before the previous one is processed, only the last link is processed.
    1. Opening Flow, or a link or video appearing on screen in Flow (an impression), is not counted as a click and earns and debits nothing. The former Flow browsing credit and Flow impression debit (−5 AP) have been abolished.
    2. Tapping links in My Boo (bookmarks and watch history) or on the Lounge Billboard only records the visit and earns and debits nothing.
    3. Watching or tapping platform videos earns and debits nothing (Article 6-2(3)).
  4. Minimum balance for exposure: a normal link is shown only while the registrant’s Ad Point balance is at least 10 AP, and a boosted link only while it is at least 30 AP. Below that, exposure stops (the boost setting stays on) and resumes once the balance is topped up by assignment.
  5. Boosting minimum: boosting can be turned on when the Ad Point balance is 500 AP or more.
  6. Ad Point assignment: Members may specify amounts from their Paid Point and Free Point balances. Assignment is use of those points; the same quantity is credited as Ad Points and cannot be converted back. Refunds for assigned Paid Points follow Terms Article 11.
  7. Inbound debits for the same link are limited to once per visitor per day (calendar day, from midnight Korea time); a logged-in visitor is identified by Member account and a non-logged-in visitor by IP address (daily debit lock).
  8. Visit credits for the same link are recognized once per day; each Member may receive at most 30 normal visit credits per day (Daily Cap). This is a ceiling to curb abuse/reciprocal clicking, not a required quota.
  9. Non-logged-in visits may debit the advertiser’s Ad Points without granting visitor credit; this is normal inventory control. If such a visitor came through a referral link, the referrer may receive a referral visit credit under Article 5(4).
  10. Audience language: when registering or editing a link, Members may choose its “Audience language” (All, Korean or English; All by default). If Korean or English is chosen, the link is shown only in the user link lists on screens in that language (home LINK tab, Points ranking, search Links tab) and in the Flow that continues those lists. Credit and debit rules are the same.

Article 6-2 (Rules by Link Type — YouTube, Coupang and Platform Videos)

  1. Member YouTube links (exposure-type ads):
    1. YouTube video and channel links registered by Members run as exposure-type ads and are labeled “YouTube” on screen.
    2. The Company does not use YouTube API Services or oEmbed for Member YouTube links. The Member enters the title and uploads the thumbnail image; the Service does not embed a YouTube player and shows the image and title. Tapping the title or the “Visit link” button (shown without points) on the Flow screen goes to YouTube.
    3. Member YouTube links are shown only on user link screens (the home LINK tab, Points ranking and search Links tab, and the Flow that continues those lists) and on the Lounge Billboard (auction-won spots, attendance spots, and spots filled from the Points ranking when no bid has won; Article 7-2); they are never mixed into platform video screens.
    4. Each click from the Flow screen through to YouTube debits the registrant’s Ad Points; the debit amounts and minimum balance are the same as in Article 6. Impressions alone are not debited, and tapping the link on the Lounge Billboard is not debited either (Article 6(3)).
    5. In line with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies, no points are given to users who see, click or watch YouTube links, or to their referrers, and these clicks do not use the daily visit-credit count (Article 6(8)).
    6. YouTube addresses must be registered as YouTube links and cannot be registered under other types such as normal links.
  2. Coupang links:
    1. Coupang products can be registered only under the “Coupang product” type with a plain Coupang product page address (e.g. www.coupang.com/vp/products/…); such links earn and are debited in the same way as normal links (Article 6).
    2. Coupang Partners links (affiliate addresses such as link.coupang.com, short addresses such as coupa.ng, and addresses carrying affiliate or tracking values) cannot be registered.
    3. Coupang addresses cannot be registered as “Other” links.
    4. Beyond Coupang, other affiliate links whose terms forbid rewarded traffic (visits rewarded with points or the like) cannot be registered.
    5. The Company may refuse to register links that do not meet these rules, or stop exposing links already registered.
    6. Affiliate ads placed by the Company (such as Coupang Partners; Terms Article 7(5)) are not Member links and are not subject to point credits or debits.
  3. Platform videos:
    1. Platform videos (home Trending, Weekly, Popular and Most viewed rankings, K-Vibe, search Videos tab, etc.) are not subject to point credits or debits and are not mixed into the same lists as user links.
    2. The regions, ordering and retention periods of platform videos follow Article 7(3) of the Terms.

Article 7 (Paid Top-up Packages)

  1. Members may purchase Paid Points with payment methods announced by the Company. Packages (quantity and price) follow the rates shown on the in-Service checkout screen.
  2. Payment methods and currencies (Terms Article 11(1)):
    1. Web, Korean screen: credit card and similar (Korean won, prices include VAT)
    2. Web, English screen: PayPal (US dollars). The amount is the Korean won price excluding VAT converted at the exchange rate set by the Company, shown with the Korean won amount (excluding VAT) for reference.
    3. LINKBOO app: Google Play in-app purchase (price on the app store checkout)
  3. Cooling-off and refunds for Paid Points (including treating assignment and Lounge spending as use, the applicable unit price, the refund fee, and refund routes by payment method) follow Terms Article 11. This Policy only states package prices.
  4. Purchase limits (Terms Article 11(9)): to prevent payment fraud, accounts for which 7 days have not yet passed since sign-up cannot buy a package over KRW 65,000 in a single Google Play purchase in the LINKBOO app, and their in-app payments are limited to KRW 130,000 in total per 24 hours. The Company may adjust the limits based on payment history and shows them on screen.
  5. Paid top-up revenue is platform operating revenue and is excluded from Reward funding (Terms Article 12).

Article 7-2 (Spending Points in the Lounge)

  1. Members may spend points in the Lounge on the following. Prices follow the amounts shown on each screen.
    1. Aquarium: fish, decorations and premium food in the shop, extra tank slots, treatment, etc. Paid with one pocket chosen by the Member: Free Points, Paid Points or Ad Points.
    2. Daily Fortune: one reading per type per day is free; extra readings with a different input or topic and detailed readings cost points (extra reading 20 P, detailed reading 50 P). Paid with one pocket chosen by the Member: Free Points, Paid Points or Ad Points.
    3. Billboard bids: bids can be placed only with Free Points or Ad Points; Paid Points cannot be used. The minimum bid is 100 P and bids go up in steps of 10 P. A bid pushed out of the winning spots (3 on weekdays; 2 on Saturdays because of the weekly-best spot) is returned in full right away to the same pocket; winning bids are consumed and not returned. Bids cannot be cancelled. Exposure in the Billboard auction spots is decided by these bids, and tapping a link on the Billboard neither earns nor debits points — only the visit is recorded (Article 6(3)). A won spot shows the link the member pinned on the link management screen (or, if none, the first link they registered) regardless of their Ad Point balance; streak spots and spots filled from the Points ranking when no bid has won only show links whose registrant has at least 10 AP (30 AP when boosted).
    4. Cosmetics shop: items that decorate your Lounge profile and comments (level-badge frame effects, the Lounge emoji pack, etc.). Paid with one pocket chosen by the Member: Free Points, Paid Points or Ad Points. Purchased items belong to that account and cannot be transferred, resold or refunded; there are no chance-based items. Some items have a Lounge level requirement (for example, frame effects Lv.5 and emoji packs Lv.3), shown on the shop screen. The pufferfish emoji is given for free at Lv.3, and once received it stays available even if the level drops.
  2. Points spent in the Lounge are not refunded or returned, except for outbid Billboard bids.
  3. Paid Points spent in the Lounge count as used and are excluded from cooling-off and refunds under Terms Article 11 (Terms Article 10(5)).
  4. Items used only inside the Lounge, such as Aquarium pearls, are not points and cannot be exchanged for points or cash. Points cannot buy chance-based outcomes such as the odds of a fish variant.

Article 7-3 (Activity Score, Levels and Titles)

  1. Activity in the Lounge, such as posts, comments, likes, attendance, the Question of the day and quizzes, builds an activity score, and the score determines the Member’s level.
  2. Activity score, levels and titles are not points and cannot be exchanged for cash or points or transferred.
  3. When a report is upheld, the activity score may be reduced, and the level and titles may drop with it.
  4. Billboard spots and titles given as activity rewards, such as Weekly Best or attendance streaks, are not point grants.
  5. The daily cap on activity score and other details are shown on screen.

Article 7-4 (Mobile Coupon Exchange with Free Points and Reward Points — Point Shop)

  1. Members may exchange Free Points and Reward Points for mobile coupons (Giftishow) chosen by the Company. Paid Points and Ad Points cannot be exchanged.
  2. Monthly exchange limits are 150,000 P of Free Points and 50,000 RP of Reward Points, reset on the 1st of each month. The maximum product price per exchange is shown on screen (currently KRW 30,000; KRW 15,000 for café products).
  3. Coupons are sent to the mobile number the Member has verified, and coupons once sent cannot be extended or refunded. If sending fails, the points used for the exchange are returned.
  4. A coupon exchange is not a cash-out of points, and the principle that Free Points and Paid Points are non-cashable (Terms Article 2(5) and Article 10) continues to apply.

Article 8 (Reward Funding, Unit Rate, and Accrual)

  1. Reward funding is limited to net ad revenue actually remitted/confirmed to the Company from external ad and affiliate networks connected to the AI Multilingual Blog (linksboo.blog) and related surfaces (Terms Article 12(1)). The list of networks counted follows Customer Support Notices · Updates. Paid top-up revenue is excluded.
  2. Rewards credited to a Member equal that settlement-month contribution score multiplied by the published unit rate (Rewards = score × rate).
  3. Contribution score is calculated per post and summed per author.
    1. Score formula: Score = H × W × Q
    2. H: valid hits for the month
    3. W: dwell weight (Article 9)
    4. Q: quality factor (Article 9)
  4. The unit rate is set with a target of allocating about 50% of net ad revenue to creators. The introductory rate is 2 Reward Points per 1.0 score, with the effective period and next review date announced in the Service. The Company reviews the rate about every 6 months and may revise it sooner if media policy or revenue structure changes materially. Changes follow Article 3.
  5. Authors who clicked other Members’ LINKBOO links 30 or more times in that month receive an extra 20% on confirmed Rewards (×1.2), paid in addition to the published unit rate.

Article 9 (Valid Hits, Dwell, Quality)

  1. Valid hit: only time when the document is visible and the window is focused is summed; one hit is recorded at 10 cumulative seconds. Same visitor·post: once per 24 hours.
  2. Dwell weight W: visible dwell accumulates per visitor·post·month up to 60 seconds. Weights from 1.00 to 1.75 apply between 10 and 60 seconds (band table in service/tech docs).
  3. Quality factor Q may be reduced based on divergence metrics such as valid-hit rate R relative to views:
    1. R ≥ 0.35: q = 1.0
    2. 0.15 ≤ R < 0.35: q = 0.9
    3. 0.05 ≤ R < 0.15: q = 0.7 (review)
    4. R < 0.05 and views (V) ≥ 50: exclude the post from settlement or set q = 0
  4. LINKBLOG traffic arriving via LINKBOO links may have AdSense (or similar) suppressed to separate mutual-marketing traffic from external ad revenue. AdSense ads are not shown in the LINKBOO app.
  5. Posts that fail repeated origin-URL health checks or otherwise lose eligibility may be held or excluded for that period.

Article 10 (Revenue-Share Partnership)

  1. Monthly calculated Rewards are automatically credited only for Members whose revenue-share partnership is valid under this Article.
  2. Timing: Rewards are calculated from settlement-target-month (prior month) performance and credited to the balance on the following month’s settlement run (credit execution date).
  3. Grant (partnership review): partnership is not granted automatically in real time. When a Member submits an in-Service partnership review application, the Company approves if cumulative valid visits over the recent 3 months as of the prior month-end meet the floor (initially 3,000). (Example: apply in April → review January–March.)
  4. Maintain: after approval, cumulative valid visits are not re-evaluated every month. Partnership continues while the Member has registered at least one original blog post URL within the 6 calendar months up to and including the settlement month (the prior month).
  5. Suspend and re-review: if no original blog post URL is registered in the 6 calendar months up to and including the settlement month, partnership is suspended. After registering a new original blog post URL, the Member must apply for review again; re-approval uses cumulative valid visits over the recent 3 months as of the prior month-end at application time.
  6. Accrual gate: Rewards for a settlement run are credited only to Members whose revenue-share partnership is valid on the credit execution date. No retroactive accrual.

Article 11 (Reward Redemption)

  1. Operating guide: 1 Reward Point ≈ 1 KRW. Actual payout amount and currency are fixed at application time after FX, policy, and deductions.
  2. Balance from 10,000 up to (but not including) 500,000 Reward Points: may apply for conversion to Company-designated gift cards (e.g. Coupang, Amazon, Google) in set denominations, normally emailed to the registered address.
  3. Balance of 500,000 Reward Points or more: may apply for cash payout to a named account designated by the Member.
  4. Domestic business-income withholding (indicatively ~3.3% total), non-resident limited rates / certificates of residence, remittance/FX/PG costs, etc. follow the Terms and finalized legal/tax wording. Confirmed rates and document requirements will be announced in revisions.
  5. If identity, account, or tax documents required for payout are refused or falsified, the Company may hold or refuse settlement (Terms Article 12).
  6. Reward Points not applied for payout are forfeited on withdrawal (Terms Article 16). Apply for payout before withdrawing if you want them paid.

Article 12 (Abuse, Fraud, Copyright Holds)

  1. Macros, bots, clickjacking, self-view manipulation, traffic fraud, and similar abuse may lead to hold, clawback, and use restrictions under Terms Article 14.
  2. Self-view suppression: when linked to a LINKBOO login session (or equivalent), valid hits on one’s own posts may be excluded. The Company does not rely on IP alone; patterns and account signals are combined.
  3. If ad networks later invalidate traffic or claw back revenue, already accrued/paid Rewards may be recovered or offset in later months (Terms Article 12(3)).
  4. Copyright disputes: on report, the relevant content share may be escrowed; the author gets a chance to respond (typically 7–14 business days). A false report alone does not instantly forfeit the whole account. On confirmed infringement: exclude, claw back, or offset (Terms Article 13).

Article 13 (Settlement Cycle)

  1. Monthly: aggregate valid hits and dwell
  2. Early next month: month rollover, origin-URL health checks
  3. Mid next month: confirm prior month contribution scores, apply the unit rate then in force, confirm revenue-share partnership validity at credit execution
  4. Mid-to-late next month: auto-credit prior month amounts (score × rate, plus activity bonus if applicable) only for Members whose partnership is valid at that credit run; pay after deductions
  5. Exact dates may shift for operations; material changes are announced in advance
