Honest Reviews of 4 Restaurants and Cafes Near Graz, Austria
Burger Factory
Feuerbachgasse 24, 8020 Graz, Austria
A burger place called Burger Factory that was close to our accommodation.
It has an impressive rating of 4.7!
Since it was a nice day, we sat at an outdoor table.
First, we ordered two cokes (I had diet coke, lol).
Lemon came with it.
I had a beef patty with jalapeños; my mom had a chicken patty with bacon and cheese.
We enjoyed the meal very much.
The taste matches its rating!
The burgers were so big that it was hard to bite into them, so we cut them and they fell apart.
I don’t remember the price…
Unfortunately, I couldn’t take a photo of the menu or the receipt.
Both portions were small, so we didn’t order fries, but if you go, you must try them…
Looking at what the table next to us was eating, it looked really delicious.
The prices were quite reasonable compared to other restaurants! Highly recommended!
Restaurant SCHLOSSBERG
Am Schlossberg 7, 8010 Graz, Austria
The view from the restaurant at the top of Schlossberg.
I was so mesmerized by the view that I barely took any pictures of the restaurant…
The price wasn’t listed, and I couldn’t see the menu, so I just picked something from the fridge to eat.
The price was about the same as a regular soft drink.
I ordered ginger ale and a drink similar to iced tea, which is a national drink.
There was real minced ginger in the ginger ale, and it was tasty.
It gets spicier as you drink it, haha.
We only had drinks, but they also sold dishes like schnitzel, and most customers were eating schnitzel.
It seems like a tasty spot…
Anyway, the view is amazing, and it’s a bit of a hike to get to the top, so I recommend checking it out!
Old Town of Graz
Badgasse 3, 8010 Graz, Austria
I heard there is a Korean restaurant with great value in the old town, so I decided to check it out.
The places look like a square with food stalls and convenience stores lined up.
I managed to find a Korean place among the open shops (there weren’t many open due to the early hour).
At first glance, it didn’t look like traditional Korean food.
However, the price was extremely cheap, so I decided to trust the reviews and grab a meal!
This isn’t Korean chicken but caramel chicken.
When I asked what Korean chicken was, they pointed to a dish that looked like a steamed chicken dish with more sauce.
When choosing side dishes, they asked whether to have rice or noodles, but since we thought we were just getting the main dish, we were caught off guard when the owner served us rice, haha.
Luckily, we got rice because the noodles looked like a Southeast Asian style that I’m not fond of.
The caramel chicken tasted like sweet and sour chicken.
It wasn’t super delicious, but it was decent enough, so if you want to save on food costs, I’d recommend getting takeout in the old town!
MARTIN AUER
Stubenberggasse 10, 8010 Graz, Austria
I came for a brunch early in the morning, but there were already many people.
There were quite a few types of bread and sandwiches available.
The most important thing was that there were many types of iced coffee available!
We ordered two pieces of bread and two drinks.
The staff was very friendly.
I didn’t know the names of the breads and had to ask for help while pointing, haha.
Each bread I chose had jam inside, which wasn’t really my style, but the bread itself was good, and I was happy to have a proper iced coffee.
(Other cafes’ iced coffee almost only had ice cream and cream in one type.)
This was the only place in Graz where I got a receipt…
Anyway, it was good for a simple meal and fairly cheap!
