Breakfast at Karaxia Hotel
I came to eat breakfast on the first day at Karaxia.
Unlike Richmond, it was buffet style.
It’s nice that I can choose only what I want to eat.
I lightly served brunch, and there was delicious soup curry, so I took a little.
It wasn’t as good as Suage, but it was tasty anyway.
Also, the pineapple was incredibly sweet, while the strawberries were too sour.
After taking the subway to Miyanosawa Station, you can reach the Shiroi Koibito Park chocolate factory.
You need to buy tickets while standing in line to enter the park.
You can see a short video about how the factory was established, and the owner was overly kawaiified, haha.
My sister and I watched it and thought, “This is Japan for sure.”
The factory is also visible through glass windows, and I thought about how frustrating that must be for the staff (Are you T?)
There are three places in the factory, including a café and restaurant, and we went to one to order parfaits.
The prices were ridiculously high.
I wanted to drink an aid, but they said it was from another store, so I ordered just one.
After completing the viewing course, you go down to the souvenir shop.
I didn’t take pictures because I was buying snacks.. haha.
They sell a high-quality cookie similar to Kukdas, and it’s very delicious.
Outside, there are many attractions and photo spots.
Now, let’s head to Otaru by train!
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Shiroi Koibito Park to Hatsusamu Station.
However, it felt like it took 20 minutes longer because it was so hot..
When I was almost there, I could see the railroad, which felt like a scene from a movie~
Minami-Otaru Station!
When you take the JR train, you can see the sea, but the train window was too dirty to take proper pictures. T_T
What a shame!
After about a 10-minute walk from Minami-Otaru Station, you will arrive at the Orgel Museum.
I love frogs.
I thought about buying one but I didn’t have a place to put it, so I didn’t buy it.
You hear the pleasant sound of the music boxes playing everywhere.
I used to wonder why anyone would buy a music box, but I’ve now come to understand its charm here…
It has a cozy sound that might help you sleep better.
LeTAO, famous for desserts, has more than one location, but we visited the largest one, which was closest to the Orgel Museum (probably the main store).
However, there was no seating available and a long wait, so we decided to eat first.
I was indecisive about what to eat, and since the place I wanted to go was closed, I ended up at a regular ramen shop.
(I didn’t feel like eating seafood, but everything was sushi and seafood restaurants.)
There was a notice that said not to come. It was hilarious!
I didn’t even take proper photos, but this was the best ramen I’ve ever tasted…
I’m not a big fan of ramen (I didn’t like Ichiran Ramen either), but this place was genuinely delicious…
I ordered the signature? Special Misora Ramen, and I understood why it was a signature dish.
Ramen Misora < Please make sure to order the special when you visit….
There were no toppings to skip.
After the meal, we went back to the main store of LeTAO, but the wait increased instead.
Feeling tired and considering that we could eat the same at other places, we quickly gave up and entered a nearby cafe that looked spacious.
It turned out to be LeTAO too, haha;
The full name is Fromage Denis Tani LeTAO.
But I thought I made a good choice because the cheese tart was amazing.
Even my sister, who had eaten LeTAO cakes, said that the cheese tart here was much better.
I’m not someone who enjoys desserts too much, but I ended up buying another one.
It was truly a heartwarming taste…
And the reason my sister came to Otaru was the Otaru Canal.
Wasn’t it because of the Orgel Museum? Haha.
It’s prettier at night, but it’s a pity we couldn’t wait longer.
But I couldn’t wait any longer, haha. My feet were killing me.
A person in costume in the middle of the canal surprised me, and I really screamed.
I took a commemorative photo and gave a tip because it seemed like they were having such a hard time in that heat.
Checked the train schedule at Otaru Station and ran like crazy.
If I hadn’t taken photos at the railroad, I might have been more relaxed…
This was probably the hardest day of the trip..
I kept walking 20,000 steps every day in the hot weather, and today was no different. I was breathless.
Returned to Sapporo Station and took the train back to the accommodation… or not,
The reason for rushing back was that there’s a reptile and bird café nearby that is open until 7 PM.
I hurried back, but it just so happened to be closed on Wednesdays…
I was truly bummed.
After showering and resting for a while at the accommodation, I went out for dinner.
The only place I really wanted to go was the okonomiyaki specialty restaurant Hinachan.
Even though I don’t particularly like okonomiyaki, heh.
But I heard the udon okonomiyaki here is incredibly delicious.
(Many reviews from Koreans, and the next table also had Koreans.)
We ordered one udon and one corn butter.
It was seriously amazing.
I almost ordered another one; this is the number one okonomiyaki I’ve ever had.
Since it was the last day, we went to Round One to withdraw a bit more cash and try gacha again.
I failed in adopting the second Kirby. T_T
The one I pulled had a cute expression, and I wanted to ask for a trade for it.
After gaming for a bit, I got a little hungry, so my sister insisted on having takoyaki from the street vendor (right in front of Don Quijote).
To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of takoyaki either.
But it was pretty good!
The highball was delightful..
After dinner, we finished shopping at Mega Don Quijote!
A staff member handed me a discount coupon that could be used for purchases over 10,000 yen.
Thanks to this, I was able to spend almost all my cash perfectly.
I really wanted the big Kirby, but it was priced at 8,000 or 9,000 yen.
In short, it was shockingly expensive, so I just took a picture and put it down. T_T
On the next day, I had a quick breakfast at Karaxia.
Since my flight was at 11 o’clock, I went to catch the airport bus.
It was exactly the 2-person ticket price of 2,200 yen.
I suddenly couldn’t find the 100-yen coin and was briefly confused, but thanks to being able to pay on getting off, I found it in my bag.
At the airport, I tried the LeTAO cake that my sister talked about, but the cheese tart I had yesterday was definitely way better.
And whether it’s because it was the airport or genuinely a hot spot, there were quite a few stores with long lines.
Especially for desserts, the lines were immensely long.
Looking back at these photos makes me want to go back so badly…
This was my first trip abroad with my sister, and we didn’t fight at all. It was so nice.
I want to travel again.
