[Vietnam Phu Quoc] Travel Diary of Day 4 of 3 Nights and 5 Days
Travel Diary
Almost all videos were shot with a wide-angle lens, so they might be a bit dizzying haha.

The next morning, there was an incredible downpour.
I had planned to swim in the resort pool for breakfast today, but ㅠㅠㅠ~!!!
My plans fell apart…
Finally, the last breakfast…
Almost always the same menu haha.
I thought maybe the rain would stop while I enjoyed breakfast…? Hope was a bit of a stretch.
The rain poured down heavily.
It showed no signs of stopping…..
I had to give up on the morning swim since it was like that until I finished my food.. ㅠ
After resting in my room for a bit, we decided to go for a massage in the morning!
As with the last day, we made a reservation at Whale Spa haha.
We checked out in advance and requested luggage storage at the resort.
This is the form filled out before and after the massage.
I finally learned the massage therapist’s name on the last day… haha.
Fortunately, the one I had on the third day was still there, so I booked again.
The name seems to be My.
If you have a preferred massage therapist, you can request them for a reservation~! (I only learned about it late…)

After the massage, we came to do a rapid antigen test for COVID-19.
Originally, it was possible to do a free test as part of the package, but
we had to go to a designated hospital (SOS Hospital).
But that hospital is towards the Duong Dong Night Market… too far from our accommodation.
So, to save on travel time, we just came to the nearby Vinmec Hospital.
We thought we had to go to a designated hospital, but the owner of Whale Spa kindly informed us that it could be done at a nearby hospital at a lower price,
which saved us a lot of travel strain…
(It was about a 3-minute tuk-tuk ride from Whale Spa!)
Thank you!!!
Vinmec Hospital waiting room
After taking a tuk-tuk here, we were told they’d wait for us to pick us up again.
(The round-trip fare was cheap, but I can’t remember the exact amount.
But we had to wait for another party as well)
After checking in for the rapid antigen test, we waited about 20 minutes.
After the test was conducted, we waited about 30 minutes.
After receiving the results, we waited another 20 minutes for the others in our party before heading back to Grand World…
The planned afternoon schedule only included a pepper farm,
but we felt a bit peckish, so we wandered around Grand World.
Fortunately, by this time the rain had mostly stopped and we didn’t need an umbrella!
I thought I must have a Bánh mì before leaving, so I looked for an open Bánh mì place.
The Grand World night market was said to be open 24 hours but there weren’t many places open during the day…
But after some searching, I finally found one to order from…
LOL, what’s up with the toppings?????
We definitely ordered this…?
It looks so different haha.
In Vietnam, it seems that the actual item often differs from the menu pictures…
Does Korea do a better job with presentation?
The taste was… just okay..
It was a bit salty since there were no veggies (I usually don’t like salty things)
Putting that frustration behind, we took a taxi to the pepper farm.
There are several pepper farms, but I went to the one closest to Vinpearl.
Google Maps indicated it closed by 5 PM.
Entrance to the pepper farm cafe!
They also sell various drinks.
They sell pepper, honey, salt, and many other items.
I had planned to sweep away gift items here, but there were so many options that it was hard to choose…
Staff kindly offered several samples, but I took this photo in the middle of eating haha.
They had me try the (what I think is) mango dipped in spice.
The flavors were all interesting!!
They also gave me a tea made with honey and pepper, which was sweet and delicious.
And wearing the hat next to me, they offered a free tour of the pepper farm!!
The staff was super friendly~!
I had never seen pepper berries before, so it was fascinating.
They explained in detail how black, white, and red pepper are cultivated and the differences between them.
They also picked some berries for me to try; the red ones tasted a bit sweet compared to other peppers, which was surprising.
One slight inconvenience was that I was wearing very thin sandals, and due to the heavy rain, the ground was a bit bad, and there were huge millipedes, which was a bit scary…
I might have jumped a bit haha.
In the end, we took a picture together, and their photography skills were top-notch haha.
I was very pleased.
And flexing my gifts…………
While waiting for the packaging, they offered a bit more service.
It was ginger tea or something, but I didn’t like it as much as the previous drink, it was a bit bitter.
The banana, however, was delicious haha.
And the sample I received at first, due to the honey, attracted a ton of ants while I was away on the tour…
I noticed they also raised chickens there.. wow 😊
Shopping finished~! We decided to have dinner at the resort’s restaurant.
This was partly because the timing was awkward, and the resort food is the best…
It was a bit more expensive than outside restaurants, but relatively inexpensive.
Seated by the window, the view and menu were lovely.
The menu had several categories, and we ordered shrimp from the seafood section, pasta from the general menu, and soup.
And the first to arrive was the beer haha.
Having a drink while looking at the view was really the best!
The dishes came out one by one~!
The food took quite a while to arrive ㅠ
As expected, I trust resort restaurants.
Everything was delicious, but the shrimp was particularly good with just the right amount of seasoning haha.
However, the portion was a bit small, so I ordered one more fried noodle haha.
Yum
But this one had too much food haha.
After eating all the seafood, I had to leave a bit of the noodles…
The taste was mild enough for Koreans!
Wrapping Up the Trip

The airport shuttle was at 10 o’clock, but the resort staff asked us to wait in the lobby by 9 o’clock.
After finishing dinner, we had some time left, so we took the shuttle to Grand World again haha.
I visited the sculpture garden that I hadn’t seen before, and the scenery was really beautiful.
With the night lighting, it was simply amazing….
I wore comfortable pants because I had a flight early the next morning, but looking at the photos, I regretted not wearing a dress!
Still, everything here is so beautiful that any outfit would be picture-perfect~!
This is the Teddy Bear Museum that I briefly passed by yesterday!
Everything is so cute….
I wanted to buy some pajamas, but there were only children’s sizes, so that was disappointing 😥
People said the coconut ice cream was really delicious, so I tried it.
I usually don’t eat nuts, but the coconut ice cream and peanuts paired together so well that I ended up enjoying it…
Yum, the coconut drink was just okay, but the ice cream was really my style!
At night, there were many Bánh mì shops open, but… thinking of what I had earlier, I started to have regrets……
However, I couldn’t eat because I had overeaten at the resort…
As it neared 9 o’clock, I took the 8:30 shuttle back to the accommodation.
But surprisingly, not many people were coming by 9 o’clock… haha.
It seemed like it was enough to arrive without being late from the shuttle time…..
Some people even came a bit late, causing a slight delay ^^
Let’s keep our time commitments~!
After taking the shuttle bus, we arrived at the airport…
I managed to get some good sleep for almost an hour.
I was holding off on sleeping all day because I had to catch a flight in the early morning, so it was hard to resist…
And the insane waiting for check-in…
We arrived around 11 o’clock and waited about 40 minutes in the well-formed line.
Wearing an eye mask, I had a fun nap, but woke up because the seat was uncomfortable, and the sky was so beautiful that I had to take a picture.
We landed around 8 or 8:30 and by the time we did the immigration process and picked up our luggage, it was past 10.
However, it was absolutely delicious to eat Korean food after coming back to Korea;;
I had soft tofu stew at Sodam Ban Sang and it tasted just like instant noodle soup haha.
Reflecting on my trip abroad after a long time, I thought:
1. I need to study English again.
2. I want to leave my job and travel more.
This post is more for recording my experiences than informing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments 😊
