Following the pretty back of the sister from Ansan People, I entered through the back door.

It’s the famous Kalguksu (noodle soup) restaurant, Hongdukkkae Kalguksu!

They say this place is well-known for its taste.

I was introduced to this restaurant that I’ve been visiting for about a year!

There is also a branch nearby, but this is the central location.

When I arrived during lunchtime, it was very crowded.

Fortunately, I was able to sit at the last available table right away! 😋

Looking at the menu, I saw that the signature dish, Shabu Kalguksu, can be ordered for one person.

However, instead of fried rice, barley rice is served, so please keep that in mind!

We ordered two servings of Clam Noodle Soup without any hesitation.

After placing the order, the barley rice was served along with the basic side dishes.

After mixing in the gochujang (red chili paste) provided on the table, my appetite was awakened.

The ingredients were simple, but the taste was truly exceptional.

Honestly, just eating this was filling.

And the kimchi, what can I say… Kalguksu restaurant kimchi is never bad.

The Kalguksu here is not served in one large bowl but is provided individually, which I found impressive.

This is hygienic and convenient as there is no need to scoop it out with a ladle every time!

The portion of the Kalguksu was so generous that it felt like it never decreased, no matter how much I ate.

The broth was not salty and was refreshing enough to drink straight from the bowl.

There were plenty of clams, and I ended up piling the shells in my rice bowl.

Fortunately, there was a Tanghulu (candied fruit) shop nearby, so I wrapped up with dessert!

Central Hongdukkkae Kalguksu was a place that satisfied in terms of taste, portion, and price.

I recommend visiting with family, friends, or a partner.
