I recently visited Erae Dakbal, a newly opened restaurant in the neighborhood. As the name suggests, it sells both chicken feet and LA galbi, and the intriguing combination piqued my interest.

The restaurant has about 9 tables, including outdoor seating, offering more space than it appears. In addition to chicken feet and LA galbi, they also serve hot pots and stir-fried dishes, making it a great spot for a casual drink in the neighborhood.

They even offer highballs and hangover relief drinks, which is a great advantage as it caters to various needs in one place. Although not listed on the menu, they also sell Bohae Bokbunja (black raspberry wine), which will be welcome news for fans of this drink.

The basic side dishes include an unidentified green vegetable, bean sprouts, and crisp, delicious kimchi.

Main Dish: Boneless Chicken Feet

The main dish, boneless chicken feet, is served in a broth-like sauce, with a generous amount of liquid. The flavor was strongly reminiscent of gochujang-based Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork). While not perfectly to my taste, chicken feet are always a delight. 🥰

Rice Balls

The rice balls we ordered came with beans, which was a bit surprising. I felt the preparation might be geared towards an older generation’s palate. Next time, I’ll try ordering the rolled omelet instead. This was a review of Erae Dakbal, a great place for a casual drink in the neighborhood. 😉
